Thinking of joining us as a caregiver? Here are five reasons that I think you should at least consider it. You can also check out this old post<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n

1. Flexible Hours<\/h4>\n

We can build your schedule in a lot of configurations, and we can give you as many or as few hours as you need. Need a part-time job while you’re at school? Apply with us. Need a full-time caregiving position? You should also apply here.<\/p>\n

2. Many Skill Sets Fit Here<\/h4>\n

You don’t need to be able to do transfers to work with us! We have many clients who need cleaning and cooking help only. At CareBuilders we also have clients who need mostly or only personal care, if you are a CNA and looking for a position with us. We will work really hard to match you with a client whose needs fit your skill set.<\/p>\n

3. Ability to Choose Your Clients<\/h4>\n

You have a lot of flexibility in whose house you go to; we listen to your feedback on clients and adjust your schedule accordingly. You can also tell us, like I just mentioned, that you only want to do housekeeping, or you want to do as little housekeeping as possible. You can stay with one client only or we can have you fill in shifts places elsewhere.<\/p>\n

4. It’s Good Experience for Nursing Students<\/h4>\n

It looks really good on a resume if you’re in nursing school. Also, homecare gives you practical experience working with people, especially working with people with conditions such as dementia and Parkinson’s. Even if you decide that you don’t want to work in memory care or geriatric medicine. this is great experience with people and their families.<\/p>\n

5. Helps People in Your Community<\/h4>\n

Becoming a caregiver is a great way to help people in your community. We have clients from all walks of life, and we would love to have anyone who wants to give back to others.<\/p>\n
