I&#8217;ve mentioned before that one of the benefits of hiring a caregiver is that they can monitor their client&#8217;s condition. This is particularly reassuring for family members who don&#8217;t live with the client; they know someone is interacting with their loved one on a regular basis. Here are some changes our caregivers may look for that would lead us to suggest the client talk to their doctor. Of course, not all of these signs means your loved one definitely has dementia. These signs include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sudden behavioral changes<\/li>\n<li>New confusion<\/li>\n<li>Inappropriate comments that the client didn&#8217;t make before<\/li>\n<li>Wandering<\/li>\n<li>Changes in competence while driving<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The National Institute of Aging has a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nia.nih.gov\/health\/alzheimers\/caregiving\">great resource<\/a> for family members of those suffering from Alzheimer&#8217;s.
