I wrote a post<\/a> a while ago about hobbies that older adults can get into to keep them active and social. Today I’d like to do a follow-up, as well as close out our Spring Fever series. It’s been a lot of fun! These are some more hobbies that are good for older adults.<\/p>\n

\"An<\/p>\n

Collection-Based Hobbies<\/h4>\n

Collection-based hobbies like stamps or coins can be really great for older adults because it can be done mostly at home or online. This is very simiilar to the crafting hobbies I was discussing in the last post. A drawback for some collecting hobbies is that they can be really expensive, especially for people on a limited income. You’re not only talking about buying whatever you collect, but also items to store or collect your items. And depending on your area, there may not be a lot of in-person meet-ups for collectors.<\/p>\n

Book Clubs<\/h4>\n

Reading and book clubs are awesome because they can be as free or expensive as you want. Libraries are great resources to get books from (and they often have their own book clubs). My library will even deliver your books to you, so that’s something to check out in your area. Bookstores and coffee shops will also usually have book clubs, and you can of course organize one with a group of friends. You can rotate houses or meet in one person’s house if you would like. This hobby is great because it really is what you make of igt.<\/p>\n
