This one seems like a no-brainer, but sometimes it’s easy to say “oh yeah I’m only going to spend x amount” and then if you’re not checking, go over budget. Try to set your budget realistically, especially if you have grandkids of different ages and then keep track of what you bought. By getting an idea early, you can start saving early, and can help be motivation for your saving.<\/p>\n
Once you have a budget per gift, that will make your saving much easier. It can also help your motivation to put away enough money to purchase a gift or two or three.<\/p>\n
If you have an early idea for a gift, start browsing sales, don’t wait for Black Friday. Different types of items go on sale at different times throughout the year. Just keep your eye out. This is also why it’s good to save early.<\/p>\n
