I thought we could go over a few more hygiene rituals and how caregivers can either assist themselves or find other solutions.<\/p>\n<h4>Shaving<\/h4>\n<p>Shaving one&#8217;s face is something that many men do their entire adult lives. A lot of professional caregivers don&#8217;t help people shave, for fairly obvious reasons. Many barbers still do shaves, and you may want to see if a family member can help with shaving. Like having your hair done, maintaining one&#8217;s facial hair can be an important part of one&#8217;s self-image.<\/p>\n<h4>Cleaning<\/h4>\n<p>Cleaning is a ritual that serves a practical purpose, but it can also be a very important mental health exercise. I know that I have personally gotten in such a slump when I can&#8217;t clean. But most older adults may not be to clean as much as they used.
