The holidays are often a very busy time, especially if you have a loved one who needs homecare. Sometimes getting care started is the last thing on your mind, but it will be a huge help on the holiday. Planning is key so that you and your loved ones can be in the moment together.

Start Planning Now
It can take a while to establish consistent and quality care, so reach out to us now. You can call us at (502) 458-2273 to set up an evaluation, where you talk to us about your goals for care and what you need. The holidays can be so busy that new plans can easily fall through the cracks, so planning early can really help with that. And if you aren’t hiring caregivers and are instead looking to provide care as a family member, it’s a good idea to start working with your family members to see what that will look like. Try to write down a list of what each family member will be doing.
Look at the Big Picture
A lot of older family members host family holidays, and the entireity of the work that they do is often invisible. Do they decorate, cook the majority of the meal, and have people stay at their house? All of that involves extra cleaning, shopping, and preparation that you might not be aware of when looking into alternate plans. And I recommend multiple planning the holiday so that it is more equitable.
What are your plans for the holidays? How are those plans changing this year?
