We’ll be headed into March soon, and I know we’ll be spring cleaning and decluttering my house. Here are some ways that you can declutter your house this upcoming spring with minimal effort!

Donate to a Little Free Library Near You

Little Free Library is a great way to donate books to your community. They’re usually a small cabinet, so if you have a lot of books, you may want to consider donating them to your local library branches. You can also apparently donate your vehicles to them, regardless of condition.

Neighborhood Garage Sales

Most older adults may not be able to hold their own garage sales, however neighborhoods usually host them together. If you have a neighbor that you trust and know is participating in a community yard sale, maybe they’ll let you have your own bin or two and sit out there with them if you’re able to do so. Yard sales can be a lot of labor, but this is a lot easier if you’re able to make it happen.

Phone A Friend

Sometimes older adults have no problem getting donations together, it’s the taking them across town to a donation center that is difficult. If you can, try to find a friend, neighbor, or relative who can help transport your donations to a Goodwill or something for you. That way it’s out of your house but you don’t have to worry about injurying yourself.
