Yesterday, I posted about items that I try to always keep on me for my comfort in the fall. I will try not to recommend specific brands or items that you’re not likely to already have in your home. These are just personal care items that work for me and that I think many people will benefit from having on them.
Lip Balm
A good lip balm can be so important in the fall. If you have really chapped lips, I sometimes use a petroleum jelly type product on my lips (either a very thin layer during the day or more as an overnight mask). That is, of course, for more severe chapped lips, but keeping your lips hydrated will help prevent the need for the petroleum jelly.
Thick Socks
A good thick pair of socks are essential if you don’t wear shoes in the house. Now, many older adults wear house shoes for stability, but wearing thick socks is still important for keeping their feet warm. I also have a pair of slippers that you can heat in the microwave and they are amazing.
Thank you for reading, let me know what you carry with you in the fall.
