Are you getting into the spirit of cleaning but you’re not able to do it like you used to? Here are some basic cleaning tips. You can also check out this spring cleaning post I wrote a few months ago.

Start Small

You may not be able to tackle cleaning your whole house in a day or a weekend like you may have used to have been able to do. So you may want to write a to-do list that breaks the tasks down to each specific room or area of the house. It’ll take longer but it can preserve your energy.

Find Accessible Products That Suit Your Needs

Being able to switch your cleaning routine up with accessible products can help you a lot. An accessible tool is anything that helps you perform a task that you may not be able to do otherwise. Common accessible products include robot vaccuums, long-handled dusters, or even a self-cleaning litter box.

Clean As You Go

Trying to stay tidy as you go along in your house is easier said than done (no one look in my own house) but it can be supremely helpful if you have limited stamina and mobility. You may also want to rearrange some items to make this easier, like putting a small dustbin near your favorite recliner.

How has cleaning changed as you’ve gotten older?
