A few days ago, I made a post to wrap up our spring cleaning month about pest managment for older adults. Older adults may have particular pest managment needs. You can read the previous post here.

Wildlife Rehabilitators
If you have a critter stuck in your attic that needs help or just moving, it’s best to giv a call to local wildlife rehabbers in your area. This page by Kentucky Wildlife Rehabilitators is a great resource that breaks it down by county. They may ask for pictures of the animal in question if you are able to do so.
Have a Plan
If you are in need of pest bombing, you may have to move out of your home for a few days. If you’re having a problem with a lot of pests, it may help ease your mind to have a game plan. Plus, you may not be able to just drop everything and relocate for a few days with little planning. You could have pets, medical equipment that is hard to move, or be a caregiver yourself to a loved one.
Try to Stay Calm
Pests happen to everyone at some point, it’s not somethhing to be ashamed of at all. The important part is that we call for help and get it as soon as we are able to do that.
That concludes our spring cleaning month!
