March Madness is a big deal in Louisville, so once it wraps up, it feels like the perfect time to shift gears. This spring, we’ll be sharing a series of themed blog posts focused on topics that matter to older adults. Similar to themed content we’ve done in the past, these posts will explore seasonal ideas and everyday topics that support engagement and well-being at home. I recently tested this format earlier in the year, and April felt like a good time to bring it back—though this won’t be an every-month occurrence.

If you have ideas for future themed topics, feel free to share them in the comments below.

When Is This Happening?

We’ll be sharing spring-themed posts throughout the month of April.

What Could We Cover?

Topics may range from community connection and daily routines to nutrition, movement, and seasonal activities. Many of these ideas naturally build on themes we’ve discussed before, such as staying active and engaged, which we’ve explored in our post on exercise options for older adults. If there’s a subject you’d like to see covered, leave a comment and I’ll keep it in mind as the month unfolds.

Spring is often a time of renewed energy and connection. Organizations like AARP’s community resources also highlight how seasonal activities and shared interests can support connection and purpose as we age.

I appreciate your patience with this shorter introduction—these kickoff posts are always a bit of a challenge to write. January’s themed content was well received, so I’m looking forward to trying this again and exploring some new ideas together. We’ll see you in April!
