As a follow-up to the last post, this one will be relatively short. It’ll be about when to hire a caregiver for yourself or your loved one for the holidays. Holiday help is essential for some people who may have always been able to participate in the holidays in the past. So when should you hire a caregiver?

When There’s Been Large Health Changes in the Past Year

If you or your loved one have experienced a large change in your health, you may want to try out having a caregiver. Since the holidays tend to be high-stress and there are a lot of expectations, it’s a good time to try out having a caregiver.

If You Need Significant Help

If you or your loved one need significant help around the house, it may be time to hire a caregiver. This is especially true if you don’t know if you have a family member who can be a caregiver. Family caregivers are amazing but it is a very difficult job and caregiver burnout is a real, dangerous thing.

These are, of course, not the only reasons why someone would hire a caregiver for the holidays. Please don’t hesistate to call us at the office if you have any questions.
