Bulk meal preparation is a great way for older adults to get meals for less effort. I posted about it last week, and I thought I’d do a second part today. Here are some easy meals to prepare in bulk.

Risotto

Risotto with heated frozen or fresh vegetables is easy to refridgerate and to reheat. And risotto is pretty filling and nutritous, especially with vitamins and minerals from the vegetables.

Overnight Oats

Overnight oats are similar to chia seed pudding, in that it is relatively easy to prepare. They are easy to customize, and they are easy to make in large batches and to preserve in the fridge. I like to use different fruit toppings.

Grain Bowls

Healthy grain bowls are super easy to make in bulk. All you need is some type of grain, some beans, a protein, and vegetables. You make these in large quantities and you can make them warm or cold. I like to make mine warm personally, I have a thing about food that is too cold.
