We’re getting into the Halloween spirit here at CareBuilders! I love talking about easy recipes for different holidays because they can be a bonding activity for the whole family.
Mummies
You’ve heard about pigs in a blanket, right? Well, Halloween gives it a spooky twist, and now we have mummies! All you need are hot dogs and puff pastries, wrap them up and put them in the oven. You can also whip these up as a dessert (not with hot dogs, obviously) with pretzels, candy, and colored melting chocolate. You can get all of these items for low cost at your local grocery store.
Poison Apple Bar
All you need are apples, caramel, and other candy and chocolate for dipping. This is a no-bake case, but it does require cutting apple slices, so make sure to either get a circular apple slicer or have someone on hand who can safely operate a knife. This is a great option because kids love mini-foods (an so do adults, lets be fair) and you can trick them into eating non-decorated apples.
Oreo Truffles
For this, you need Oreos (bonus points if they’re a little stale), butter, and cream cheese. You just heat up the butter, and roll all the ingredients together, put the truffles on a baking sheet and put them in the fridge to cool. After they’re done, you can add candy and chocolate drizzle if you’d like.
What are you planning to do for Halloween?
