I have an exciting announcement! In just two weeks, we’re kicking off a themed event here on the blog. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I love celebrating it in creative ways. To mark the season, we’ll be covering a different “spooky” topic every day during the week of Halloween—each one focused on aging, caregiving, and accessibility.
What Kinds of Topics to Expect
Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing posts that explore “spooky” themes with a practical and supportive twist. Topics may include (but aren’t limited to):
- Planning ahead for the future
- Setting up care for aging loved ones
- The importance of note-taking in home care
- Accessible and inclusive costuming
- Ways older adults can safely participate in Halloween activities
Many families start thinking more seriously about planning during the fall and holiday season. Resources like the National Institute on Aging’s guide to advance care planning can be a helpful place to begin those conversations.
If you’re already thinking ahead to the holidays, you may also find it useful to revisit our post on preparing for home care over the holidays.
I love doing these themed weeks, and we’d love your input. If there’s a topic you’d like us to cover, leave a comment below. Thanks for reading—and we’ll see you tomorrow here on the blog. Happy Halloween!
