Labor Day is approaching! If you’re interested in hiring a holiday caregiver, please check out this post and call (502) 547-1904. Before I get into things to do in Louisville this Labor Day, I have some housekeeping things to go over. If you are a client and want service over the holiday, please call the office at that number. Caregivers should check their schedules to see if they have shifts that day, and if you don’t work Mondays but want to work Labor Day, call the office. Activities this Holiday Weekend:

  • The Louisville Bats play two games against the Indianapolis Indians, one on Saturday and another on Sunday.
  • The Kentucky Flea Market Labor Day Spectacular is running Sept. 2nd- Sept. 5th in the West Wing of the Kentucky Expo Center, times vary day to day. Friday and Saturday it’s open from 10 AM to 6 PM. Sunday the hours are 11 AM to 5 PM, and Monday they were 10 AM to 5 PM.
  • Parrotheads in Paristown is a new Jimmy Buffet tribute music festival on Friday from 4 PM to 10:30 PM and on Saturday from noon to 11 PM. Tickets are $85 for a two-day pass, $35 for an advanced Friday tickets, $45 for same-day Friday tickets, and $55 advanced Saturday tickets, $65 same day tickets. Find more information here.
  • WorldFest is a personal favorite of mine, it is on the Belvedere Friday through Monday. It’s an international festival featuring music, food, dancing, and exhibits from countries all over the world. Friday through Sunday the hours are 11 AM to 11 PM and on Monday the hours are 11 AM to 8 PM.
