This is a continuation of last week’s post about unusual tasks that our caregivers can do, and that most people probably don’t think about. I thought I’d add a few things today, so let’s talk about more unusual tasks that our caregivers perform.

Grocery List MakingOur caregivers can do tasks like helping make grocery lists and coupon clipping (if that is something the client does). This can be a huge help with older adults who have difficulty writing for any reason, or who just want the companionship of someone while they are doing household tasks.

Lifting

Sometimes, an older adult may want us to help them put a box of donations in their car, or move a box of holiday decorations to the attic. We can help with a few singular boxes like that, but definitely talk to the office first so that can be communicated to the caregivers.

Meal Planning

Along with grocery lists, we can also help our clients make a meal plan for the week, if that’s something they need help with. We may even premake a few meals and freeze them for our clients.

These are just some more unusual tasks that we can help our clients perform!
